Posts: 96 01/16/12 01:43 PM	Tags : None I've tried using pet socks on Rudger. Bought a packet of Power Paws by Woodrowwear. I got the right size for Rudger but they don't stay on. They start sliding off. When they are on they do help him on linoleum. I don't know if I should go to the smallest size or try taping them on somehow. I'm also wondering if when he goes on carpet if that is what causes them to start working off. He doesn't mind them so it is not him taking them off. Has anyone had any experience with dog with neural problems in the back end & these kinds of socks? I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see. John Burroughs

Can't remember where they got them. I will think...... Cindy and Nash Nash was born 9/2/1998, and is my sweet 1/2 breed Cocker Spaniel/English Springer Spaniel. He was dx'd with diabetes in November 2007 and is currently on 9 units of Novelin N twice a day. Nash went blind approximately 6 mnths after dx, has glaucoma and gets eye drops 5x day

Posts: 96 01/23/12 01:28 PM	Thanks Ed. Cindy, I'm not sure the suspenders would work. His back end is weak as it is.Not only does he have neural problems but he has severe hip dysplasia. BUY I'm willing to try anything. I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see. Posts: 96 01/26/12 11:34 AM	Cindy we have started looking at them & I have been talking with a woman whose dog used one. I was concerned about around the house,but she said they just moved furniture around to enable him to have a wide enough path. Plus he did learn how to kind of lie down when he was in it. I was also concerned about our hillside (we live in one). I'm not sure how well that will work. We would have to bring him up along side the hosue to come in the back door. We have a ramp to our back door for when my Mother was here after her stroke. We'll see how it goes. As long as he wants to keep going we will help him. Posts: 572 01/28/12 10:27 AM	I made a cart for our German Shepherd when he had Degenerative myelopathy. It worked great as long as he was on level ground. But we have too many steps and uneven ground, and he weighed about 90 pound. It was a real job getting him in and out of it. For a smaller dog it would probably work better.
