Rained all day, water everywhere...and now a mix of snow and rain, then just snow all evening. I took out foster dog and of course she wanted to play in it. I was patient....finally said DO YOUR BUSINESS, man just not ready for winter! Are we ever? burr....

Posts: 3854 11/30/11 08:19 AM Administrator	It's a winter wonderland out there this AM. I need to get the camera out. I have a jet black foster dog (schipperke mix) that would look gorgeous with the backdrop of snow on the trees. Thank goodness I do not have to go anywhere today...just hubby had to go to work in this mess. We got maybe 4"?

Moderator Posts: 3054 11/30/11 09:43 AM	DO NOT send that stuff to us....we just had it, it was wet and heavy, residents called us complaining we were not fast enough plowing the roads, etc etc......we have very nice weather in the low 50s, tho they are to drop...my CeeCee loves the snow, she loves to make snow angels

Posts: 10014 12/01/11 07:24 AM Administrator	Well, Jody and I live in Michigan, and we have up till yesterday, dodged all the crappy weather the rest of the US was getting. In fact, we had weather in the high 50's right up through Sunday. I had mums and geraniums blooming up until this snow! I loved it because I was able to out fresh flowers in Nash's grave every week, sigh. Anyway, Winter is here...and I see right down to Florida is getting the cold these next few days. And CA is getting those winds. Oh brother.... Cindy and Nash Nash was born 9/2/1998, and is my sweet 1/2 breed Cocker Spaniel/English Springer Spaniel. He was dx'd with diabetes in November 2007 and is currently on 9 units of Novelin N twice a day. Nash went blind approximately 6 mnths after dx, has glaucoma and gets eye drops 5x day

Moderator Posts: 1494 12/05/11 10:38 PM	I wish it would snow! It has rained straight for 2 days, and flooding is imminent in our area. Snow would be a nice change from muck and water. We don't have a basement so I don't worry about water for us, but now Eric owns a house in town with a basement. He has 2 sump pumps - hope they are working! Sissy, a 15 1/2 year old lhasa apso left for the Rainbow Bridge on February 28, 2009. She was diagnosed on September 21, 2007. You can run and your eyes are clear, my girl. On March 8, 2009, we adopted Fritz, a Bichon Frise puppy. He is a rescue dog with a beautiful spirit.

We found water back in the storage area all over the floor, seeping in the foundation obviously, this happened couple years ago, would think it would go into the budget for repair but no, guess they figured it would not happen again

It is due in some time early next week.We've been lucky so far & have had only 5 " of snow so far this winter. Temps have been nasty (except for today) but we've been spared the major snow storms we had last year. I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see. John Burroughs

After that 12 degree morning, it went up to the high 40's to the high 50's for almost a week........then it turned cold again, but still only in the 30's so no complaints. Posts: 96 12/20/11 12:05 PM	Not much snow left on the ground after a few days of temps in the 40s. But today we are bacf into the cold weather. We were at 14F this morning but are now up to 25F. This icy & cold weather is playing havoc on Rudger's walks. He doesn't do well on ice. And the cold? I've got to get hem to wear a coat. I've been looking for one that covers his back legs & hips well. I wish he could wear boots on those back legs so the cold doesn't freeze them. The specialist said not to use them on him because the are all too heavy. We are swamped at work. But then we have been since the beginning of November. Hoping we do get a long holiday weekend. Been putting in extra hours. And I guess I'd better get back to work. taking a break. I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see. John Burroughs
