Canine Diabetes did not claim Brandy. Brandy was one of the old girls on the board.. Having Brandy and Lucy both gone in a week is just such a loss to all of us. Posts: 1302 11/01/11 11:09 AM	Oh NO, Dawn I am so sorry to hear about Brandy, my heart is heavy just knowing what you are going through right now. A big hug to you from me and my furry family. Aspen, Yellow Lab, 13years old diagnosed with diabetes 12/22/09. Got her wings on August 23rd, 2010. She will be missed but remembered with much joy in my heart always.

Bury your beautiful face into the ears of your other girls, Ruby and Sapphire, and they will comfort you, and you them, She was a beautiful girl and will be missed greatly. Holding you so very close in thought and prayer. Cindy and Nash Nash was born 9/2/1998, and is my sweet 1/2 breed Cocker Spaniel/English Springer Spaniel. He was dx'd with diabetes in November 2007 and is currently on 9 units of Novelin N twice a day. Nash went blind approximately 6 mnths after dx, has glaucoma and gets eye drops 5x day

Posts: 3852 11/01/11 07:48 PM Administrator	It seems like to me, that Brandy has been around FOREVER! Dawn too! I have to look back and see when Taffy was dx., and then when Brandy was. Yes, Kay - we all go way back don't we. I still remember the Bo days. I think just about everyone has lost their babies now from back in the day! It's just amazing that we are all still hanging in there helping others. Nothing better than dog people (or cat people too). Godspeed beautiful Brandy!

Administrator Moderator Posts: 3887 11/01/11 11:17 PM	Thank you all for your support. I wanted to come and post something earlier couldn't do it make it all seem to real. Brandy and I had a very adventurous life together. Many life lessons she has taught me I will never forget. She had the most giving heart and soul she was a comfort to all that have been around her. It wasn't diabetes that got her the ugly cancer started to spread threw her body. She was still trying to give the good fight. Her liver started to fail 6 months ago and we put band-aids on it to give me 6 more months with my sweet baby. So the vet agreed with me there wasn't anything else that could be done. I knew she was just hanging on for me I never want to let her go. I had to do the right thing by her and let her go. So with a heavy heart I said good bye to my baby Monday morning there wasn't a dry eye in the room. I can't thank Dr. Troy and his wonderful staff enough for all the help over the years. He is the one who taught me to take control of Brandy. I can't never thank you all enough for all the support you have given me over the years. Brandy was diabetic for 5 1/2 years so keep the faith diabetes isn't a death sentence. Until we meet again Brandy you will hold a big piece of my heart forever. Give your two sister that went before you a big kiss from me. You will all have each other until I join you again some day. Brandy and Lucy...... our CSG matriarches, gone so close together. I'm just so sad tonight and please, let's just think of our beautiful girls with happy hearts because they wouldn't want us to suffer this way. I know we are sharing this horrible experience together now, so far apart and so close in our grief. I'm so darn sorry. Lucy and Brandy are together now, puppies forever. and my Lucy, American Pugsley, age 15 -born 4/18/1996, DX. diabetic Nov. 07, blind 2/08, Weight 11 lbs., Humulin N 7 U , Homecooked chicken/white rice with canned Hills W/D My sweet, baby Lucy left me peacefully on October, 24, 2011 with her head on my shoulder and my comforting whispers in her poor little, deaf ear.
