I do think that puppy is older than 4 weeks, appears maybe 6 weeks. If so, there should be no issue with switching to kibble the way that has been mentioned here.

I would think puppy is having no issues at this age going potty on it's on. And of course, it's best taken outdoors immediately after eating for a bit of exercise to get it to go potty.

Worms would be a thought, and the pup does need to be wormed. I don't know if Italy has places that you can buy worming Meds and administer yourself. But if money is an issue, and you can't go to the Vet, this will need to be done. But also, the pup will need vaccinations, especially against something like Parvovirus which is a killer for a young pup.

Patty, please do not take the puppy any place where it will be exposed to other dogs, or even ground where other dogs have been until you start the pup on vaccinations and have completed them, as they can pick up this horrible virus from ground where other dogs have been. Parvovirus can live on dirt. Please Google this so you will see how dangerous this can be.

I believe the pup has Shepherd in it. What an adorable face. I wish I could help with what goes on in Italy.....I have a close friend whose folks still live in France, and I could have helped with that, but not Italy.

Patty, si prega di non prendere il cucciolo qualsiasi luogo dove sarà esposto ad altri cani, o anche a terra dove altri cani sono stati fino a quando si avvia il cucciolo sulle vaccinazioni e li hanno completato, in quanto possono prendere questo virus terribile da terra dove altri cani sono stati. Parvovirus può vivere di sporcizia. Si prega di Google questo modo si vedrà quanto sia pericoloso questo può essere. Credo che il cucciolo ha Pastore in esso. Che faccia adorabile. Vorrei poter contribuire con quello che succede in Italia ..... Ho un caro amico i cui genitori vivono ancora in Francia, e avrei potuto aiutare con questo, ma non l'Italia.
