  • How long has your dog been Diabetic? - literally 12 days

  • How much does your dog weigh? - 48 lbs as of Friday - from original 65 (four months ago) to a low of 43 (at diagnosis)
  • How much insulin are you using? - currently 12 units/2xs

  • What type of insulin are you using? - Humalin N

  • What times are you giving insulin? - 6:30am and 6:30pm

  • What are you feeding your dog? - at this time, Iams Natural, but am switching to Wellness Core Reduced Fat - not that she is, but it can also be used to maintain weight

  • How often and how much are you feeding? - 1.5 cups in AM and 1.5 cups in PM

  • What type of dog do you have? - Pita is an "all American mutt" and that is said with the most Love in the world

  • Do you home test? - I plan to.  The first curve was done by the vet, but I figure that, if I can do shots, I can do that
