I felt it important to post this thread'
Last night my dog Charlie was choking on a piece of a marrow bone.
He was getting no air and I was sure he was going to die !
I completely fell apart and became hysterical.
My husband grabbed Charlie (110 lb dog) and did the Heimlich Maneuver on him.
In a few seconds the bone fragment came out and Charlie started breathing again.
Now if my husband was not home, tonight I would be mourning the loss of my best pal.
I now plan to learn how to do the Heimlich Maneuver for dogs... I never want to feel that helpless again.
I also hope that all members will also watch this video (that Carolyn was kind enough to find for us.)
Hopefully no one will ever need it... but then again I never thought I would need it, but I did !
