Posts: 571 06/30/11 04:06 PM	Tags : None We got back a couple of hours ago, been letting her and DJ get acquainted. They seem to love each other..Started right out playing.. Here's the shelter where we got her. It's hard to make out but they're got the cages near the windows so people can see the animals from outside. This is the outside area where they put them for fresh air when the weather is nice. Inside the main showroom. At home. They're racing here.

But I just can't see the pictures, don't know if it is because I'm at the hospital and and their wifi is blocking it, or if it's because we changed servers, and their server didn't catch up.....I'll look later at home and see if I can see. Cindy and Nash Nash was born 9/2/1998, and is my sweet 1/2 breed Cocker Spaniel/English Springer Spaniel. He was dx'd with diabetes in November 2007 and is currently on 9 units of Novelin N twice a day. Nash went blind approximately 6 mnths after dx, has glaucoma and gets eye drops 5x day

Panda is a lucky girl. Welcome to your forever home! I love your yard! All fenced and those dogs can run their little hearts out! Enjoy your weekend. (The rescue looks amazing. Always good for these little guys to get into places like this. They care, they spay and neuter, and interview people to make sure they are getting the best of homes. Nothing better than animal people!)

Posts: 571 07/01/11 06:26 AM	Thanks girls. Glad you like the pictures. Cindy I hope you can see them from home. Jody, glad you like the yard. We love it for the dogs. Jean had the fence put up just before i came here. She had 2 dogs, then a friend of her's died and left her 2 more. She couldn't walk them all so she had the fence installed so they could get some exercise. Then i came and brought 2 more. lol..I made a couple of major changes right after I came here. I installed an electric fence all around on the outside to keep the coyotes and other animals out..then I turned a window into a door so we could just open the door and let them in and out.. We used to have to take them out the side door, down the sidewalk and in the gate. I am much too lazy for all that so I turned a useless window into a useful door. lol The way it was. The way it is now.

Posts: 3852 07/01/11 08:03 AM Administrator	Now that was a bright idea Ed! Useless window, turned into useful door! I love it! We have a very large yard, live in the township, busy road out front. When we looked at this house, I loved it - except for the 55 mph freeway out front. However, the house is back 300 ft from the road, so I went to work with Taffy who was then six and full of beans! There were lots of rabbits and squirrels here, deer also....but she was only allowed in the back yard from day one. She learned and only once that I can recall, did she take off after a rabbit in the front yard. That was the day I nearly had a heart attack! Taffy did a big loop after my ear piercing SCREAM, and came right back! Now that I foster dogs, they of course always have to be on a long lead. I do look around the back yard every once in a while and wonder what a nice big fence would look like.....I'm still working on him.

Posts: 571 07/01/11 08:48 AM	Yeah those roads can be very dangerous..There's probably only about 20 cars a day goes down our road, just people who lives here. But we've had one cat and a dog killed here in front of the house. A fence is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Wouldn't be without it. I still take them for a walk a couple of times a day tho..good for them AND me.
