Changing your user name
Once you create a profile, your URL cannot be changed. E.g. if your URL is http://username36.yukitagazette.yuku.com/ , it will always be http://username36.yukitagazette.yuku.com/ there is no way around that.
Converted (new style) profiles can change their display name, we'll show you how.
1) Log in and go to your profile page.
2) Click the tools icon (wrench) in your navigation bar.
3) Click edit on the right-hand side below "Display Name"
4) Type the desired display name in the designated box and save the changes.

The profile URL will still be http://username36.yukitagazette.yuku.com/
The name on the board when posting will still display the same way you see it in the URL:
Frequently asked Questions.
1. I don't want to just change my display name, I fully want to change my name, how do I do that?
The only way to fully change your username is to create a new profile. If you do not have a supporter account, you will only be allowed one profile per email and you will need to create an entirely new account.
If you do have a supporter account, you can add a second (or third) profile to your account with the desired name.

2) I created a second name because my first name had a board name behind it, but now my second username also has a board name behind it, what am I doing wrong?
You likely created a local profile (= you signed up at a board). To avoid having a board name behind your name, you can sign up via this link:
If you have a supporter account and you wish to add a second profile, simply go to your profile page, click on your name at the top left in your navigation bar and you will see the option to create a new profile if you don't already have three profiles on your account.
3) I did exactly what you explained, but somehow, I ended up with a board extension behind my name again.
While it rarely happens, there are a few known cases in which a profile gets a board extension even when it is created at the home page. This can only happen on accounts with multiple profiles that already have a profile with a board extension on the account.

4) I want a new username, but I don't want to lose my post count. Can you adjust it for me?
Sorry, we only adjust post count when there is loss of post count, or when you need to create a new profile, due to an error on our end. You can, however, ask a board admin to put in a script that will adjust your post count. It is up to the admins whether they wish to do this or not.
5) If I create a new profile on an already existing account, will my friends, comments and/or post count carry over to the new profile?
None of those will carry over, a new profile starts fresh.
6) I signed in with my facebook account, now my real name shows and you are saying it will always be in my Yuku URL? Can you do anything about that?
Yes we can. We can delete your account so that you can start fresh. Please submit a ticket and we'll discuss your options with you.
7) I really want my new username to be on the email I have already been using, because that is my main email. If I have to create a new account to get a new username, is there any way I can have that new username on my main email?
Yes, we'll be happy to help you with that, just submit a ticket and we'll take care of it.
8) Is there totally no way to have my name changed on the board when I change the display name on my profile page?
You could ask an administrator
or the owner of the group where you post to add a name replace script
(name replace script can be found by admins in the script library), but it is entirely up to them whether they wish to do this or not.
