Has anyone had any experience with flying with your dog? I've been thinking about the possibility of having to move back to Hawaii and how I'm going to bring Jerry with me. The airlines don't allow you to bring your dog into the cabin when flying to Hawaii, they all go in cargo. I don't think I could do that with her, not just because of her diabetes but also because she has anxiety issues. The only exceptions they make though are for guide/service/therapy dogs. I did find a company that will fly to Hawaii and let your dog be with you in the cabin and even sitting in their own seat instead of in a crate. The only problem is that it costs thousands of dollars! It's called DogTravel, and they will fly anywhere in the country but they only fly as often as their members demand it. So it might be difficult getting a flight for when I need it, especially with the strict laws about the quarantine period.
This won't be happening anytime soon, but I was just curious if anyone has any suggestions.
