The gal is starting to show her age, tho she is only going to be 10 years in June. Her sight is pretty much the same, not much change which vet says is good, but you can place her ball in front of her and she will go right past it, but then will pounce on it, like a found treasure when she finally finds it. Lately she was having problems getting up on the couch, and it is not a high couch. Jim was petting her/patting her as he has always done, and she let out a yelp when he petted her left hip.
So off we go to have her vet check out, she figured maybe a soft muscle strain, no ball playing for at least 2 weeks to give it a chance to heal, since a little inflamed. Bring her back if no change. She has her on a baby aspirin, ground up in her food once a day and it is helping, she got up on the couch, after 2 jumps, then back down, found her ball, and gave it to Jim - he rolls it on the floor for her instead of throwing it thru the house, tho I think she was insulted..lol...then the idiot (Jim) says, what if I throw it outside for her....it's still running , duh.
With all her allergies she can't take the gloucosamine because of seafood shells and brewers yeast ....poor baby but she is doing fine with the shots and soon they will stop to see how she does, tho I haven't told her she needs a bath today lol
