Posts: 178 06/17/10 10:17 PM	Tags : None Hello everyone, my name is "Tigs"...(Tiglibud)...but, my real name is "Lisa" Nice to meet you all... I just got a new puppy...and named her "Coupe" She is 12 weeks old, a 'Walker Hound'...my first dog, ever...on my own. I have not a clue what I'm doing, but I'm doing my very best. I will soon, Promise... Then, I will post them, show you my new baby. Thanks again, and nice to meet you. Oh, and yep...first time owning a dog...I own two 'African Grey Congo Parrots'...them, I do know how to raise, but a 'dog' was my new boyfriend's idea...this will be a learning experience.

I have a house full of critters, including a couple of birds, one is a parolet (smallest parrot there is) who thinks he is a huge giant parrot LOL

I so know about strays, they just keep walking in our cat flap, at one point I had 6 cats, 2 cockatiels and a German short haired pointer(hubby found ) wandering in the parking lot where he worked. Anyways...Here is a photo of where we live...it's beautiful here this time of year. This picture is during 'winter'...as I still haven't gotten around to downloading my latest ones, sorry. I am the one with the cockatiel named Baby Boy, Then there is Puma the chihuahua,Sophie the German Short Haired pointer,Jasmine my diabetic Siberian Husky,Harley my lab pit , Kahlua my boxer and Sebastian my Airdale mutt mix. Oh and lets not forget Yoda,Sabrina and Cleo, These are my 3 cats. So I have the zoo!!!! Sebastian has had a few ear infections. One of things I have learned is when you bathe them to make sure that you don't get water in their airs. I use cotton balls. This prevents that smelly ear infection. I had to look 2 x when you posted your fish named Bullit. I thought there was a sh in those words. Most be my eyes( LOL)

I have a little experience with puppies as I had a dog as a teenager and am now the proud mom of a 1 year old diabetic pup. I just was asking what was going on, because we hadn't heard from you and then the note. Im truly sorry you weren't able to keep her. We never get over our dogs. I had to have my beautiful Nash PTS July 1st last year.....and I miss him every single day. I hope the interferon works for you. Will keep you in my prayers. Posts: 178 03/29/12 09:06 PM	Thanks Cindy, I realize that post kind'a came out of 'nowhere' and i'm sorry if I caught you all off guard It's just...at the time, when I decided I couldn't keep Coupe, I felt too sad to write much about it And...now that I'm heading into a medical nightmare, I miss her even more than before Although I still have dogs that I walk, nothing is like your very own dog When David takes his dogs home, or I drop them off...I feel very alone again Mind you, Krakr and Princess are good company, and very enjoyable...nothing really equals the feeling of a dog's love I'm not much into cats, no offense mind ya to cats...and I have had many...but, still...nothing really compares to the adoration a dog gives you And now...more than ever...I miss that look she used to give me, that I love you no matter what look I guess I'm feeling a bit emotional, sensitive and I do miss her...what can I say more? Not much...I think that summs it all up I sure do hope she's happy, wherever she is...

Posts: 3851 03/30/12 07:23 AM Administrator	Lisa, you have to tell yourself that you did the right thing by Coupe. Think positive that she does have a good home. You tried and it didn't work out. There will always be dogs out there that need a home. When you get yourself to a better place, you can always try again. Is there a shelter or rescue group near you that you can volunteer at? I lost my dog years ago to kidney failure. Instead of adopting another dog (my heart just can't go there) I foster dogs. It's not quite the same as your own, but I just love it. I am the middle person, and nothing better than helping the dogs and the rescue group. Many need people to just love them, walk them, bathe them, or foster. Your heart is in the right place!
