I have been reading a book called "Over the Edge:  Death in Grand Canyon."  It was $24.99 if I had bought it at the Canyon and $13.99 on Amazon - pretty cool.  The book goes through the history of all the different ways that people have died since the year 1900.  They have names and a story about each one.  Most of the people are dead because they were stupid.  Peeing off the edge of the Canyon in the middle of the night after drinking large quantities of alcohol ranks right up there in accidental falls.  Another one is young males hiking by themselves.  Big surprise there!  And my favorite - it gets to 120 degrees at the bottom of the Canyon.  There are signs everywhere saying that if you are going to hike down, you need at least 2 gallons of water per day for each person.  So what do people do?  They buy a bottle of water at the convenience store and off they go.  The book isn't really a funny book, but because some of the deaths are so ridiculous, it does make you laugh!
