Daddy was 16 and he died of cancer. My brother in California has a pitt that he rescued and he told me the other day about Daddy. Ceasor's dogs are so awesome - the new one Junior....he is beautiful. I love that gray and white together.
I was up at Petco cleaning kitty condo's two weeks ago and there was a boxer rescue group doing adoptions up there - on the side was this gorgeous gray and white pitt, I just had to say Hello to him/her - I said to the handler - I want this one! He laughed and said he was only up there for socialization...he already had a home! He said I could pick any boxer I wanted though.....I said no thanks...good try!

Every boxer I've ever known was ridiculously hyper and rambunctious! I do love them though.
Daddy was a rescue dog that Caesar adopted. It's very sad. and my Lucy, American Pugsley, age 15 -born 4/18/1996, DX. diabetic Nov. 07, blind 2/08, Weight 11 lbs., Humulin N 7 U , Homecooked chicken/white rice with canned Hills W/D My sweet, baby Lucy left me peacefully on October, 24, 2011 with her head on my shoulder and my comforting whispers in her poor little, deaf ear. Oh - I love boxers too! It was just that sweet face on the pitt puppy that drew me to him! (oh her...I didn't look) Just so regal looking too. There were some gorgeous boxers there as well. Huge white one....poor baby was deaf.

I always thought Daddy was such a regal dog. He just walked right into whatever was happening and took over with only his presence. Many dogs owe their lives to Daddy as he was instrumental in their rehab.
Sissy, a 15 1/2 year old lhasa apso left for the Rainbow Bridge on February 28, 2009. She was diagnosed on September 21, 2007. You can run and your eyes are clear, my girl. On March 8, 2009, we adopted Fritz, a Bichon Frise puppy. He is a rescue dog with a beautiful spirit.

I just heard this today, and was so saddened by this. He was a great dog. I didn't know he died of cancer. Does anyone know what kind? But, oh my gosh 16 years for a big breed, that is excellent, especially since he was a rescue!!
RIP Daddy!
Cindy and Nash
Nash was born 9/2/1998, and is my sweet 1/2 breed Cocker Spaniel/English Springer Spaniel. He was dx'd with diabetes in November 2007 and is currently on 9 units of Novelin N twice a day. Nash went blind approximately 6 mnths after dx, has glaucoma and gets eye drops 5x day |

I didn't hear about htis either. I do watch Cesar, but haven't caught him lately. Such a beautiful dog. He was so gentle, and probably helped to save the lives of many big dogs with aggression problems. Cesar only has resuces I believe, I have both his books, will look back and see if he has much about Daddys background.

I watched him last night too. Daddy was on there and seemed to be feeling just fine. He was such an awesome dog. So regal and non-chalant.
I love Friday night TV. We've got Ceasor Milan and Dog Town. Then 20/20.

Me neither Abby! I am always amazed at what he can do with some of these dogs. Calm and assertive! LOL I fostered a dog last summer, and by gosh I sure could of used Ceasor with her! A very bull-headed brittany spaniel. I give Ceasor lots of credit for what he does - talk about a ton of patience. Of course if I had his money, I'd be patient too!

In Memoriam: Daddy the Pit Bull
Cesar Millan, all his family and friends, his staff and volunteers, and dog lovers all around the world today will mourn the passing of one of the most loyal, trusting, well-balanced, and influential pit bull ambassadors the world has ever known. Daddy, Cesar’s longtime friend and partner in canine rehabilitation, died peacefully surrounded by family on Friday the 19th of February. He was sixteen years old. ![]() He lived each day of those sixteen years happy and fulfilled as Cesar’s right-hand-“man,” helping to shape the behavior of entire generations of dogs by showing them the way to balance. He stood as champion for calm-submissive pit bulls everywhere, and was instrumental in helping to repair their image as violent, savage, uncontrollable beasts. He successfully battled cancer and weathered chemotherapy, and even got the opportunity to present at the 56th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards! ![]() His name is now added to that honorable roster of dogs gone by whose influence is still felt today, and which includes some of Cesar’s beloved childhood heroes: "Rin-Tin-Tin." "Lassie." … "Daddy." ![]() He has been immortalized by Dog Whisperer fans in all mediums, from painting, to photographs, to charcoal drawings and papier-mâché sculpture. And, of course, he lives on in his work, reflected in the balance and calm-submission of his protégé Junior, the countless animals to whom he was a positive role model, and in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew him as a calm, sweet, and mellow example of a widely misunderstood breed. In Loving Memory. If you would like to honor Daddy’s memory and the contribution he made to improve the lives of other animals, you can make a donation to Daddy’s Emergency Animal Rescue Fund, which will provide assistance for dogs who are victims of abuse or violence, man-made disasters (hoarder and puppy mill rescues), and large-scale natural disasters (hurricanes, fires, and other natural catastrophes). |
