Well, I think Nash might have a touch of pancreatitis.
We've had an issue with him throwing up a couple times the last few days. And the last two nights he's been "really" restless. We haven't had a bout since last Winter, and it was mild also. So, since I don't have anything for a 'Johanna' diet, I am softening his food this morning, and cutting him to half, and cutting his insulin to half.
I would keep him off the food if he wasn't diabetic. And then I'll call my Vet today and see if they'll let me pick up some cans of Prescription ID later today.
Of course I have a full schedule at work this week, and didn't get much sleep because of this. He's had some weird high's lately, but then again, he seems to throw in the middle of the nights, and the highs have been in the morning.
Last time this happened, I had a couple cans of ID left over from the first time, and kept him on it a couple days, and it worked fine. So, this may be something I'll have to keep around.
Dang it, we didn't even have Thanksgiving here, so no smells. And nothing has changed in his diet. So, I don't know what this is about. I just hope and pray the ID will clear him up. We all need some sleep tonight as not to end up sick.
Johanna, when Killie ended up with it several times, I think you always said it was related to smells? Did you cut his water back? That is such a hard and bad thing for diabetic's. But, I don't need to end up in the Vets for an overnighter, or the Emergency Clinic.
Man, I'm trying not to be discouraged. The week after Thanksgiving is always a killer work wise, so I'm exhausted already, just thinking about it, and two nights of partial sleep don't help.
