So... Im going to go with Kane at 5 am and give it a go.... I am not a morning person.. so this should be interesting... I am not having a house full on thanksgiving.... actually it will be just Eddie and Kane and my Kyla and me... The other two girls are going home on Wednesday night till Friday night... So im thinking going out to dinner sounds good..... Everyone is coming to my house on Friday... so that will be the big dinner.... I got my Free turkey from Shop Rite... a nice 25lb one... I have to get the Prime Rib yet... ( maybe today).... I have everything else... so Thanks giving in our house will be Friday... But that's OK... we always refer to our family this way" " We are the most functional , dysfunctional family we know !!

Actually it fits a lot more families than you know!! So, what you gonna be shopping for? Have you gotten out all the flyers and made your plans? You better set the timer on your coffee maker and have had your 10 cups by 5 AM!!! Heck, why not just stay up all night? What free turkey's at Shop Rite? We don't have Shop Rite here, but I want my free turkey!! Doggone it, I want to know how to get a free turkey short of shooting one of the ones that lives in my backyard. (JK! I don't hunt!!) Cindy and Nash Nash was born 9/2/1998, and is my sweet 1/2 breed Cocker Spaniel/English Springer Spaniel. He was dx'd with diabetes in November 2007 and is currently on 9 units of Novelin N twice a day. Nash went blind approximately 6 mnths after dx, has glaucoma and gets eye drops 5x day

If you spend $300 or more at Shop Rite between October 25th till now you get a free Turkey, or Ham... I didn't like there ham so I took the Turkey ... I didn't want the shop rite one I took a Butterball 27lb... I had to pay 30cents a pound for the Butterball... so it cost me a big $8.00 !!! Shop rite will do this again for XMAS,, that will start after Thanksgiving.... I went out tonight to get the rest of what I needed for the Friday Thanksgiving dinner... I got a nice spiral Ham.. and got the Prime Rib at Sam's club.... I would have liked to have found a better deal on the Prime Rib,,,, That baby cost me $73.00.. But really with the Turkey, Ham , and Prime Rib I only spent $110 on the meat... Not bad really... Then to make my day !!! The restaurant that I posted the pictures of that we went to two years ago called me today to tell me a table for 8 opened up !! some family canceled !!! So on Thanksgiving we will be going to our favorite place for dinner !!!

HAHAHA!! Have fun cooking, and I agree the Butterball is worth the 30 cents more a lb! And how fun that you get to go to your favorite place. At least you'll have one day of rest! Wow, I have to find my way to Cindy`s so I can join the gals!!! Prime Rib, I don`t eat much really!! LOL Seriously Jo, have a wonderful dinner and let us know about your Black Friday shopping adventure!!!!!

Moderator Posts: 2957 (11/27/09 08:53 AM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Oh you brave brave child lol....you have fun in those crowds, people pushing shoving, standing in line 2 hours before stores open to get a ticket in order to buy those few tvs on sale LOL...Just me and Jim, plus the critters and our grocery bill is 160.00 plus a week!!! I do the cooking for our work Christmas Party (which is coming up!!) we have the employees and board members - usually about 60 people. I have one gal that helps and we have a nice big kitchen at our rec center and I do prime rib, plus another meat, veggies, etc..when I first volunteered for this boss said "you can't do this, too much work, plus buget etc etc", but I looked him in the eye and said 'watch me, and yes I can beat buget" and have each year...piece of cake for me ...I come from a large family, and have restaurant experience in my work back ground .. (Johanna, no one is more dysfunctional than my family..we are 110%...ROFLMAO...my mother once asked me what a dysfunctional family was and I smiled sweetly at her and said "the smith family is mom" !!)
