			<description><![CDATA[ <p><b>(CNN)</b> -- The Kroger Co. is recalling select pet food packages 
from stores in 19 states fearing some of these products may contain 
aflatoxin, a toxic chemical byproduct that could be harmful to animals.</p> <p>The
 recall involves certain bags of Pet Pride Cat Food, Pet Pride Kitten 
Food, Old Yeller Chunk Dog Food, Kroger Value Cat Food and Kroger Value 
Chunk Food, the company said Saturday.</p> <p>The Kroger Co. urged 
customers to immediately consult with their veterinarian if their 
animals show any signs of sluggishness or lethargy combined with a 
reluctance to eat. A yellowish tint to the eyes or gums, severe blood or
 diarrhea are also warning signs, the company said.</p> <p>According to 
the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Aflatoxin is a fungal toxin that 
contaminates maize and other types of crops during production, harvest

			<description><![CDATA[ Not sure if this is the right place to put this post. Natura food sold to Proctor and Gamble. P&amp;G now makes Iams and Eukanuba foods they were good foods until P&amp;G bought the company. The sad part is Nutura makes so many of the good quailty dog foods we all use. Innova, Evo, Californial Natural, Healthwise, Mother Nature and Karma.&nbsp; Here is another point I read today if they change the product they have 6 months before they have to let the public know. <p>The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced today a plan to 
address concerns regarding the supply of Intervet/Schering Plough Animal
 Health’s (Intervet) Vetsulin (porcine insulin zinc suspension), a 
product used to treat diabetes in dogs and cats.&nbsp; FDA is allowing 
Intervet to offer a limited supply of Vetsulin through their Vetsulin 
Critical-Need Program.&nbsp; The supply is only to be used for a 
critical-need dog or cat that, in the medical judgment of the pet’s 
veterinarian, cannot be effectively managed on another insulin product.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In November 2009, FDA announced its concerns about the stability of 
Vetsulin and recommended that diabetic dogs and cats currently receiving
 Vetsulin be switched to other insulin products.&nbsp; After publicizing this
