To those of you who have friends there as well you know your heart never gets over the lost. Not a day goes by that I don't think of my Suggie. 
I miss her terribly.
I have a lot of video footage of her, so from time to time I watch the video's and that surprisingly eases the pain....I've also made a little shrine on the blanket she slept on at the foot of my bed...There I've placed her collar, her favorite toys and a lock of her hair. Seeing this reminds me of her of daily because I don't ever want to forget her.
The other day I received a letter from  Cornell College Of Veterinary Medicine(Bakers Institute for Animal Health) informing me of a donation that the Vet made in memory of Sugar.... There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remembered them in our dreams of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing, they miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

It was a hard year to get through for many of us...My Moki left a year ago April 5, & my precious little Beanie joined her brother in Heaven on November 5.It is still hard....we miss them terribly, & always will.We are so happy to have our other little guys, Sami, Cillie & new baby boy Berkli. Having Berkli in our lives does not take away the pain & sadness...but has brought us so much happiness & laughter, as we adjust to life without our babies.Hard to explain those feelings, but I think many of you probably know what I mean.You still feel the sadness but right along with it, there is happiness.
